In Galatians 1-4, Paul passionately argues what the Gospel is not: it is not "the works of the law," which for us comes to mean traditional religiosity. But this still leaves us with the question: "What IS the Gospel?" Today we begin to see that the Gospel of Jesus is all about freedom. We looked at 1) freedom's "slipperyness," 2) freedom's opposite, and 3) freedom's dynamics. |
